If you have to choose one tire for any type of terrain from hard pack to loose to mud, Kenda's Nevegal is it, hands down. To be adaptable and excel in any condition, the Nevegal is equipped with small tapered and ramped knobs with multiple edges for extra grip. Tie bars connect the transition knobs with the cornering knobs for stability and predictable hard cornering. And, the Dual Tread Compound offers a center tread with Kenda's L3R Pro rubber for long life and durability while the cornering knobs boast STICK-E rubber for unreal cornering. Kenda must be doing something right, Mountain Bike Action Magazine named it the best mountain tire four years in a row!

    Comments:

Great tire. I went with the 26 x 2.35 and was able to drop my tire pressure by 10 PSI. This made for better traction AND comfort. Nearing the end of their 1st season and they don't show much wear.

      Comments:

I live in the northeast and ride in conditions from hardpack to some of the thickest mud you could run into. These tires have never failed to impress me or those that i ride with. I have ridden tires from many manufacturers and just about every pattern that could be thought of and none have performed up to the nevegal. Most of my friends have converted to riding the nevegal on their bikes after trying them out on my bike. If you take your riding seriously or are just a casual trail rider. This tire is a great upgrade for any kind of bike.

      Comments:

Great tire, Kenda outdid themselves this time. 2.35 was too big for me. I weigh 235lbs and going uphill with that tire is not fun. Looking to buy a 2.1 or the Kenda Slant Six tire instead. Tire felt great downhill, no complaints. Felt vibrations from the tread when riding on cement and asphalt. Yet again, the 2.1 would probably be a better all around fit for riding.

        Comments:

This tire rolls fairly well, lasts reasonably long, grips pretty darn well and is super predictable on the trail. Other tires may have better individual characteristics but none have such a well rounded personality as the Nevegal. I recommend the 2.35 for aggressive trail use.

I think that the 2.35 size is way to big compared to the Bontrager XR that came on my TREK8 I need to drop down to a 2.1???
