By strategically varying wall thicknesses and tube diameters, we have moved material from 3 low-stress areas to zones of high load. This has greatly minimized twists and contributed to responsiveness. Concurrently we have increased pedaling stiffness by providing a backstop to the “lifting” phenomenon. There is no point pushing hard on your pedals if you can’t pull up on your handlebars and deliver that power. Power can easily be lost to handlebar deflection and the consequences can lead to poor power delivery and steering control. The Box Two E-Bike Cassette differentiates itself from its non-e-bike sibling by offering high gears with more teeth to withstand the rigors of modern E-Bike riding. For Box braking we’ve limited the use of our Oversized Technology to the V area since the levers need to be minimalist and largely act as a remote for the V-Brakes. To reduce lateral deflection at the V we chose to enlarge the pivot areas and arms while tightening tolerances at their interfaces. We robbed material from unloaded sections to reinforce these zones of high stress. Not only are you going to be more efficient with brake power delivery, but you’ll also feel the instant response of deceleration. Key differences: The Box One V-Brake are the only brakes in the Box line-up to be blessed with Oversized Technology. They are also the only model to use sealed precision bearings to further reduce non-rotational movement. The 108mm long-reach brakes are excellent for BMX, mountain, city, urban and tandem bicycles using linear-pull-compatible levers. The 85-mm short reach (AKA mini-V) brakes are an excellent choice for cyclocross or drop-bar gravel bikes.

With precision sealed bearings and cold-forged, aluminum CNC machined cups, the Box One™ Titanium Square Taper bottom brackets are the best option for young BMX racers and other users. It is a three-piece crank in search of performance gains and weight savings. They have hollow, custom titanium-nitride-coated titanium spindles and carbon fiber center seals, helping keep the weight down between 185 and 190 grams (well below that of other square taper bottom brackets on the market). Our Box Two tier's mission in life is to deliver performance similar to the Box One but without its exotic (and costly) features. You still get the Tri-Pack Clutch in our derailleur only it isn't adjustable. The cassette's 11-50T range is equally impressive but we don't cut it out of a single block of steel. The action on the shifter is just as snappy although you don't get the rigid die-cast pull lever. The chain boasts the same unique ability to mate with a wide/narrow chainring except you give up the trick DLC top coat. You're hardly shortchanging yourself with Box Two.

Hand-built in Southern California, Box Three Wheels are made with Box One front and rear rims and 36-hole, Box Three Pro Hubs laced 3-cross front and rear with 14-gauge stainless steel spokes and brass nipples.
